About Chess

Play classic chess against the computer with five difficulty levels, from a relaxed Beginner to a sharp Expert. Every rule is included — castling, en passant, promotion, check, checkmate and draws — plus move hints, undo and a full move list.

How to play

Tap or click one of your pieces to see where it can go, then tap a highlighted square to move.
Choose a difficulty: Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert.
Keyboard: arrow keys move the cursor, Space selects and moves, U undoes, N starts a new game.
Use ⇅ to play as Black, and ↶ Undo to take back your last move.
Checkmate the computer's king to win!
